Distinctive Unit Insignia
A silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per fess Azure (Dark Blue) and Argent a pile counterchanged, thereon a quill Gules; two sprigs of Western Hemlock fructed conjoined in base Proper. Attached below the shield is a red scroll inscribed "THIS WE WILL PROVIDE" in silver.
The Adjutant General's Corps is represented by the colors dark blue and scarlet. The pile and quill signify organizational expertise at work in the interests of service personnel, as a group and as individuals. The sprigs of Western Hemlock symbolize the organization's home state and also denote growth. White (Argent) signifies integrity and the highest standards of service to U.S. Army personnel. Scarlet indicates courage and sacrifice.
